What Appetune collects, what it does not, and what you can ask us to do with it. A structural draft, pending legal review.
Appetune is a health-information site, and health interest is sensitive information. The starting position is that we collect as little as possible.
What we collect
Newsletter subscribers. If you sign up for Appetune Notes, we hold the email address you gave us and the date you gave it. Nothing else.
Tool inputs. Appetune’s tools are designed to run in your browser and to work without an account. Where that holds, what you type into a tool is not sent to us and is not stored on our servers. Any tool that ever departs from this will say so on its own page, before you use it.
Site analytics. Aggregate, privacy-respecting measurement of which pages are read. No advertising trackers, no cross-site profiles, no selling of data — ever, under any owner.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not run advertising trackers. We do not build profiles of individual readers. We do not attempt to infer your health status from your reading and we do not share reading behaviour with third parties.
Cookies
Only what is needed for the site to function. If we ever add anything beyond that, it will be behind a consent choice you actively make, not a pre-ticked box.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to processing. Ask at [email protected] and we will act on it.
Unsubscribing from Appetune Notes removes your address from our list; the link is in the footer of every email.
Data we receive from others
Newsletter delivery and site hosting involve third-party processors. This section will name them, state what each receives, and where it is processed, before this policy is finalised.
Changes
Material changes will be dated here and announced to newsletter subscribers.
